Ronnika Ngalande & Stephanie Vargas to Speak at SBRW May 9, 2026
The May 9, 2026 speakers will be Ronnika Ngalande, candidate for Mayor of San Bernardino and Stephanie Vargas, candidate for California Congressional District 33 at the Elks Lodge #836 2055 Elks Dr. San Bernardino.
Ronnika Ngalande, candidate for Mayor of San Bernardino, is a community-rooted leader, shaped by a family that lived by the principles of service. Her family moved to San Bernardino in 1984. Back then downtown San Bernardino buzzed with life, the economy was strong, and neighborhoods felt safe. San Bernardino was the jewel of the Inland Empire. Ronnika is currently a Planning Commissioner for Ward 5. That role enables her to apply the values taught by her family to promote responsible economic development and to protect SB neighborhoods. She has worked to curtail businesses that exploit the city of San Brnardino, advocated for stronger oversight, and prevented bad actors from harming local communities.
Ms. Ngalande is married and the mother of one son who is in elementary school. Ronnika looks forward to helping make San Bernardino an All‑American city again.
Stephanie Vargas, candidate for California Congressional District 33, is a wife, a mother of three boys, and a woman shaped by faith, service, and a fierce love for her community. Born and raised in District 33, she has spent her entire life working, serving, and standing up for the place she has always called home.
Her journey has taken her from serving as a United States Student Ambassador to serving as the Chief Deputy City Clerk for the city of Colton. She has also served on the League of CA Cities housing, community, and economic development policy committee.
Stephanie’s heart is anchored in one truth: America is worth fighting for — She refuses to stand by while the future slips further from our children’s reach. With courage, conviction, and deep love for the district she has called home her whole life, she is ready to step up, speak out, and fight for a future worthy of the next generation.
