SUMMARY:SBRW September\, 2024 General Membership Meeting
DESCRIPTION:San Bernardino Republican Women will be holding their General Membership Meeting September 21\, 2024 from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at the Elks Lodge #836\, 2055 Elks Drive\, San Bernardino.  The September meeting will feature Ensen Mason\, Auditor-Controller for San Bernardino County\, and Marc Shaw\, Candidate for the Redlands City Council. \nENSEN MASON\nSan Bernardino County Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector Ensen Mason was elected in June 2018 after a 30-year career as a Certified Public Accountant and Investment Manager.  In his role as Auditor-Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector\, Mr. Mason oversees 270  employees in directing the financial affairs of the County and managing an investment pool of over $15 billion. \nHe also is an Ex Officio Member on the San Bernardino County Employees’ Retirement Association Board of Retirement and helps manage their more than $14 billion portfolio of investments.  Mr. Mason is the owner of Mason Financial Services in Redlands and a Registered Investment Advisor. \nMARC SHAW\nAfter a successful career at the CHP\, Marc joined the California Department of Food and Agriculture\, where he served as an Assistant Chief\, overseeing the Compliance and Enforcement Unit. He also started his own small private investigations firm\, contracting with public safety entities to conduct internal investigations\, pre-employment background investigations and other workplace evaluations. \n \nOn October 1\, 2022\, Marc was appointed as the California Horse Racing Board’s chief law enforcement officer. In his role as the Chief of the Enforcement Division\, he is responsible for ensuring the integrity\, viability\, and safety of those involved in the California horse racing industry. He also oversees the occupational licensing of over 19\,000 individuals. \nMarc holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management from Saint Mary’s College and a master’s degree in Homeland Security from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a graduate of the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Command College and served multiple terms on the Board of Directors for the California Peace Officers’ Association\, including a role as 3rd Vice President and two terms as Treasurer.   >> Read more about Marc Shaw here <<   \n>> LUNCH RESERVATIONS <<
