This year’s annual Family Day will be an exciting one for San Bernardino Republican Women. We have a fun day planned, and this year we have joined together with the two other clubs in District 7 to include even more families. SBRW are an alliance club of Golden State Republican Women, and District 7 clubs are San Bernardino Republican Women, San Gorgonio Pass Republican Women, and Lake Arrowhead Communities Republican Women. We decided to join forces in 2025 for an extra special day.
We love Riley’s Farm! GSRW had an Inauguration Day celebration there in January, and we had a ball. They have delicious food, friendly workers, and lots of family-oriented activities. What you may not know about Riley’s Farm is that they were singled out for persecution over January 6th, and their family business has had losses as the result. If we want to have a terrific place like Riley’s Farm to visit over the years, and support a Republican family-owned business, then we hope to help out by utilizing their facilities.
In addition, we want to honor and recognize the firefighters who battled the County Line Fire in September, 2024. What began initially near the community of Highland spread into the San Bernardino National Forest and caused evacuations of several communities, including Running Springs, Angelus Oaks, and Fawnskin, according to 2 Cal Fire incident updates. As of December 23, 2024, the fire was reported as 100% contained at 43,978 acres. In other words, this was a terrible task for firefighters and emergency personnel, and we want to show them our thanks.
Activities will include tomahawk throwing, hayrides, face painting, kids’ balloon art, and archery. We’ve got yummy food planned for the whole family, like hot dogs, cheeseburgers, ranch beans, corn on the cob, veggie skewers, desserts, and snacks. The fire stations that participated in the Line Fire will receive recognition from San Bernardino County GOP and the Republican Women clubs. Local elected officials and candidates will speak and be available for questions.
