San Bernardino Republican Women are proud to announce that Jim Riley, owner of Riley’s Farm in Oak Glen, will be the speaker at our Saturday, July 11, 2026 breakfast meeting at the Elks Lodge in San Bernardino from 10:00 to 12:00.
James Riley is the owner/operator of Riley’s Farm in Oak Glen, California and a senior partner in Colony Bay Productions. The father of six children, Riley performs “Patrick Henry” and supervises a living history program visited by hundreds of thousands of school children. He holds a degree in history from Stanford University.
Riley’s Farm is situated on 760 acres of land spanning San Bernardino and Riverside Counties and is home to the Joe E. Wilshire Packing Shed and orchards, originally constructed and homesteaded in the 1880s. The 55 acre portion of the farm currently open to the public is devoted to both agriculture and living history interpretation of the American Revolution, Civil War, Gold Rush Era, and the pioneering history of Old Oak Glen itself. Nearly 70,000 guests visit the farm every year to experience the sights and sounds of America’s past.
The grounds and buildings constitute interpretations of early American architecture and include a post and bean “public house,” a bakery, cider barn, colonial public house restaurant, and summer kitchen. A large parade ground or green fronts the public house along with a dry stone wall. The extensive farm grounds include historic Oak Glen apple trees along with new plantings of 18th century varieties such as”Roxbury Russet,” “Ashmead’s Kernel,” and “Seek No Further.”
Riley’s Farm is owned by the extended Riley Family and managed by brothers James and Scott Riley and their families. Golden State Republican Women held a memorable inauguration party in January 2025 at Riley’s Farm for 180 Republicans and had a blast! The food was terrific, the entire atmosphere patriotic American revolution, and Jim Riley treated our group wonderfully. We are looking forward to hearing from Jim and hope to see you at the Elks Lodge July 11th!
